Aleem Dar is 54 years old and was born in 1968 in Jhang which
is in Punjab Son of Police officer who was an umpire in the ICC Elite Panel for
19 consecutive years. He was married to Noshaba banu and had three children,
Hasan and Ali Dar but his daughter has passed away.
As all-rounder: Aleem Dar umpire wanted
to become a cricketer but it did not happen and he was
a right-handed batsman and used to do leg break bowling and appointed in 1987 in
the Pakistan airways.

Aleem Dar umpire No 1 of Pakistan and World
Aleem Dar is the successful umpire of Pakistan who
has registered ODIs, Test and T20 matches success. Pakistani cricket umpire Aleem Dar has
resigned from the ICC’s elite Panel, after which Ahsan Raza and South Africa’s
Arian Hold stock have been Aleem Dar, who umpired in 435 matches and who is the
first umpire of Pakistan.
According to the ICC report in 2004 (first Pakistani join
elite panel of history of cricket) the most distinguished umpires in
international cricket. Explaining the reason for his resignation, Aleem Dar
said that after being on the elite panel for 19 years, he “wanted to give the
opportunity to someone else to be part of the elite panel from International
Panel.
When I took up this
profession, I did not even think that I would get so much success from it, The
ICC announced elite panel for checking umpire’s performance in 2002 and Aleem
Dar has been included this panel.
Aleem Dar has been
umpiring for 19 years, in which he has done the most in Test matches and ODI
matches, while he is second in T20, the first is Ahsan Raza, it is being talked
about in Pakistan.
He has bagged the best umpiring award
for three years in a row (2009 to 2011)

In an interview given
to the ICC, Aleem Dar said the always wanted to be a Test cricket.” My father
was in the police and was often posted in different places. Here no cricket
those days and I am come to Lahore and join cricket club I was selected as
the first batsman form Islamia college civil lines while (at the same time)
Wasim Akram was selected as a bowler But he does n’t do well in cricket then he
will come to the umpire’s line. According to Aleem Dar, he became a test umpire
in one year where as in today’s era it takes six to seven years for a cricketer
to become a test umpire. I was very lucky to become a test umpire in the 1 year.
Father and son had one thing in common
that both of them did not obey the law. They used to always correct, the only
difference was that he used to do this work in the police line and while Aleem
Dar was in cricket.
When he left the form police line “Father
of Aleem Dar “ , he served as a Deputy superintendent He was
very fond of his son and used to take great interest in his umpiring decisions
and these decisions were also discussed between the two. Father’s long wish was
that Aleem Dar would get the ICC’s best Umpire award and every year he used to
hope that this time Aleem Dar would get the but it did not happen, they will
leave this world while waiting.
He got this award three years after his father’s death. it
was in 2009 when his name came up in the ICC. He missed his father a lot. And
this award was given to him. When he came back, he went straight to his
father’s grave and told his father about it and wept for a long time.
Best Test Match;
In the international career of Aleem Dar, best umpiring in
the Cardiff test of the 2009 about Ashes series “England vs Australia” by the way, there is another match but he has special
memories with this match. Every one appreciated my all correct decisions in
which test that is memorable for me. In this test match on the last day of test
match, James Anderson and Monte Panesar save match form England by playing
almost 12 overs. There should be a very big performance in his career, why not
“Sachin Tendulkar” LBW out on the first Ball and this is first wicket of Monte
Panesar’s in the Test.
During the ICC world Cup 2011:
Aleem Dar’s give a correct decision in
the ODIs 2011 world cup in which 15 of his reviewed and DRS Proved that all of
them were correct. Aleem Dar only one Umpire in the world whose decision was
not proved wrong by DRS.
Aleem Dar has also faced aggressive behavior from captains of
his decisions on several occasions, like Australian captain Ricky Ponting in
the Melbourne test of the 2010 Ashes series and he admitted his misbehavior and
apologized to Aleem Dar and he said to respects Aleem Dar and his discussion
was not with Aleem Dar but with Technology.
Aleem Dar has won the
best Umpire award many times Like a Successful cricketer, a successful umpire
is also measured by how strong he is physically and mentally and how well his
vision is capable of making decisions. His fellow umpires recognize his
abilities and the cricketers on the field with him know very well that Aleem
Dar’s decisions can only be thoughtfully challenged as very few of his
decisions have been prove wrong and he have set a certain standard of umpiring.
